Nadir Shah can be described as the most brutal invader ever to loot and butcher Hindustan.

Very few know , he was invited by the mughal governor of Awadh to come to India and teach the mughals a lession,

The 'then' mughal emperor was the grandson of Auranzeb.

He surrenderd to Nadir shah's 1,25,000 head count army without giving a decent fight .

Nadirshah was astonished to see the wealth at chandni chowk market and the hospitality showered by the local public who generally viewed his arrival as a possitive step. He was the protector of Islam and saviour from the ever growing strength of Marathas. However,  It is said, somebody fired a bullet to him that instigated his anger . He later went ahead to teach the whole delhi a lesson. For 2 days straight his amrmy indulged into looting and massacre.

When he left delhi to Iran , he carried so much wealth and jwellery it took 100 plus elephants to carry it !!
