I had no interest on celebrating holi so i chose to vanish to an unknown place and be 'myself'.

It may sound wired but lemme say its cool , you try it once for yourself.

When the plane was about to land , the view outside the window was so much mind blowing i almost got tired clicking snaps !

The Leh airport is one of the cutest airport i have seen in my life. It has only three flights to cater so there is no congestion and maintenance issue.

The first thing i found out as i came out of the airport was : it was an off season for tourists , and even the hotel which i had booked via yatra.com was closed!

anyway there are plenty of lodges and guest houses that run throughout the year.

I stayed in one such guest house owned by an over enthusiastic person called sanjeev kumar or sanju bhaiya.

The warmth and greetings he showered seemed to me like he had been a long lost friend of mine.

For next three days i saw so many places , mainly monastries. The names are so complicated , you would forget the moment you would hear them.

There is indo-pak and sino -indian border close by , so you will see both type of influences.

I'll describe the stay in detail in the next blog.

till then signing off.

take care.
